In-Home Care vs. Facility

Instead of you or your loved one in Marion, Delaware, Sunbury, Mount Vernon, Dublin, Lewis Center, or Columbus moving to a facility, Sovereign Royal Care’s caregivers help you or your loved one stay independent in your own home. In-home senior care in Central and Mid-Ohio is typically less expensive than a facility and our caregivers allow the senior to enjoy the freedom and independence that they may not want to let go of. They can set the rules and they can even go outside the home when they want to visit friends and socialize. In-home elderly care in Delaware, Franklin, Marion, Richland, Knox, and Franklin County allows the individual to benefit from one-on-one care that can be tailored to meet their unique preferences and needs. Most importantly, the senior gets to remain in the comfort of their own home or the home of a close relative. Personal Care Support

All of Sovereign Royal Care’s team members take this essential work seriously and treat patients with the privacy and dignity they deserve. Taking someone to the toilet may seem like a simple task, yet elderly patients who are unable to get there unassisted because of acute or chronic health problems need careful assessment and assistance from one of our highly skilled caregivers. Sovereign Royal Care’s caregivers can also assist seniors with mobility assistance and movement through their home; hygiene and grooming; meal preparation; companionship; grocery shopping and other errands; transportation to medical appointments; laundry; light housekeeping; and medication reminders.

24-Hour Care

Live-in home care is different than 24-hour care, because the live-in caregiver can sleep continually through the night. When 24-hour care is needed, the caregiver must be awake and available during the entire shift. Because of this, 24-hour care is normally split into eight- or 12-hour shifts. A live-in caregiver typically sleeps at the seniors’ home, but they typically do not live there. For one-week shifts, home care is usually provided by two or more caregivers. Usually people who need 24-hour care struggle with transportation, meals, errands, hygiene and grooming needs, shopping and many other daily tasks that we take for granted. The senior can feel lonely or dangerously wander at night or out of the home.

Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care

Sovereign Royal Care employees special team members who are trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, with a goal of helping our seniors stay independent by remaining in their own homes for as long as possible. Our trained caregivers will develop a personal relationship and understand what their preferences are and what their life has been like. Having this knowledge, our caregivers can plan appropriate activities that will keep the senior active both mentally and physically. They can look at old photo albums, get to know friends and family, read out loud or talk about current events.
