What is In-Home Care?
In-Home Care provides care to a client in their home, whether that’s a private home or assisted living facility. Home care is non-medical care that provides companionship, personal care, and other home-based services. This is different from home healthcare, which includes services such as skilled nursing care and/or speech, physical therapy or occupational therapy.
When are our services available?
Sovereign Royal Care offers services from two hours per day up to 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Will your caregivers go to assisted living communities?
Yes. Sovereign Royal Care caregivers provide companionship or personal care to residents at assisted living communities and nursing homes. Some seniors may like or require added personal services or personal care.
Is there a plan in place for the client?
Yes. Sovereign Royal Care offers an individualized plan of progression for every client. We document exactly what the client needs and wants before we begin service. The client, family members, loved ones and Sovereign Royal Care representative will agree to the plan, set a schedule and then communicate the ongoing plan of care. The client and family are welcome to notify the office when they feel the need to update the home care plan. A review is completed whenever a change is made to the care plan and checked to make certain that the client is receiving the proper level of care and is satisfied with their caregiver.
Will you come to my residence before services begin?
Yes. We will come to wherever you live for a free in-home consultation and discuss the client’s care needs and preferences for caregiver compatibility, and then choose the best fit for the client. We will also offer a free survey of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), so we can properly assess the exact needs of our client. We review the care plan with the caregiver before sending them to the client to ensure a clear understanding of what services are to be provided and that the clients’ preferences are known.
Will I always have the same caregiver?
If your usual caregiver happens to be sick or on vacation, Sovereign Royal Care has a large team of professional caregivers to make sure that you have the coverage to keep you safe and functioning normally. If your regular caregiver is unavailable, we will schedule a temporary caregiver and will advise you of the change. Moreover, we will review your care plan with the temporary caregiver before your temporary caregiver starts. At Sovereign Royal Care, we understand that having someone there to help with daily living activities is essential to your well-being and we will do everything we can to be there for you or your loved one.
Does Sovereign Royal Care complete an in-home assessment before service begins?
Yes. When we schedule a free in-home consultation, the company representative will ask the client or family what they can do on their own and what they may need assistance with. We go through a detailed list of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). These are the basic tasks essential for functioning, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility and toileting. Most seniors can perform some of these by themselves, but may need assistance with others. We will be there for you or your loved one to make sure they have everything they need to maintain a high-quality lifestyle. Our representative will also complete an assessment of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). These are daily tasks that a senior needs to complete that correlate to an independent life. They are important for assessing quality of life and independence. We will use this assessment to determine if a senior can manage these types of activities or if they may need assistance in order to safely continue to live in their home. IADLs include such activities as shopping, paying bills, cleaning, completing the laundry, and meal preparation. Many seniors require help with IADLs and some seniors want someone to take them shopping and help them avoid falls. Other seniors enjoy help with paying bills and rides to appointments. Is Sovereign Royal Care insured?
For our customers’ peace of mind, all Sovereign Royal Care employees are bonded, insured and covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance. We hire the very best caregivers and know that we would be comfortable having them take care of our own parents.
How much does Sovereign Royal Care charge per hour?

Can Medicare pay for a caregiver?
You will probably pay for most long-term care services out of pocket. You can get help from Medicare or Medicaid only in certain cases. We do accept long-term care insurance.
